Coronary artery disease is among the most common causes of death in the world. Therefore, the treatment of this disease and Conservation is a serious problem for the world.
Coronary arteries are the vessels that feed the heart itself. These vessels come out of the aorta from separate places, namely the right and left main coronary. If the left main coronary immediately divides into two veins, which we use the abbreviations LAD and Cx. These three vessels namely LAD, Cx and right coronary artery (RCA) are the three main vessels of the heart. These arteries also have smaller lateral branches. Sometimes these side branches may have developed as much as three main veins and gained importance.
Coronary artery disease is the disease of these vessels. The plaques that develop on the inner surface of these vessels cause the blood flow in these vessels to decrease over time and less blood to go to the heart muscle area fed by that vessel. Thus, during exercise in the early stages of the disease, and at rest as the disease progresses, when there is not enough blood flowing to the area irrigated by the diseased vessel, some changes occur in the cells in this area. The patient feels this in the form of tightness in the chest, chest pain radiating to the arm and jaw. The death of cells results in a heart attack.
Coronary artery disease has genetic and environmental causes. These as environmental factors smoking, poor living conditions are important ones. Since smoking is a preventable factor, it has the most important share in the prevention of heart diseases.
The most important guide for the diagnosis of the disease is the patient's complaint. Coronary angiography is the method that confirms the diagnosis. If the patient's complaints are not very typical, evaluation with an exercise test is made and it is decided whether coronary angiography is necessary.
Treatment is in line with all examinations. performed medically, interventionally or surgically.
However, since none of these treatments eliminate the disease, the most important issue is prevention.
